Our Philosophy
In general, the approach in our medical practice
is to include the use of nutrients, detoxifiers and low toxicity substances
whenever possible to help your body heal itself. We are not opposed to prescription
medications, although we try to limit the chronic use of pharmaceuticals as
much as possible. Our intention is to work closely with our patients in order
to understand their unique biochemistries, personalities and lifestyles.
Many of the therapies we use will differ
from those utilized by mainstream medicine. Other physicians may not understand
these alternative modalities and will sometimes disapprove of them. However,
conventional medicine is now promoting some treatments in the literature,
which just a few years ago, were considered to be alternative. Keep in mind
that all conventional and alternative treatments are subject to debate and
are continually being revised to reflect the latest research and available
technology.
When we treat the whole person there is an attempt to help the patient identify
areas of unforgiveness of others as well as full gratitude for what's already
right in their lives. Unforgiveness has a way of blocking healing. Healing
can be facilitated with forgiveness and prayer to God through Jesus Christ.
We all have the choice to do those things to make us healthy or otherwise.
We're about helping people be outstandingly healthy. -Ted L. Edwards, Jr.,
